Winter is upon us. The brisk winds are rolling in and the leaves are falling fast. Come embrace the changing landscape and chilly weather with Halfmoon’s Winter Words workshop!
This workshop will investigate what nature means in an urban landscape and explore how it influences people’s behaviour. It will include an easy walk in and around Bute Park, one of the largest urban parks in Wales, and will feature views of Cardiff Castle, the River Taff, and some beautiful flora and fauna. Winter Words will conclude with lunch and further writing at a local pub, Y Mochyn Du.
Date/Time: Saturday, January 25th from 11am to 3pm
Meeting Point: Cardiff Central Train Station
Price: £14 per person, £12 for concessions (students, over 60s)
Boot 2 rating (easy/moderate): This will be a flat walk of just under 3 miles with both paved and unpaved routes.
The workshop will be led by Halfmoon workshop leader, Christina Thatcher.
As always our workshops aim to create an informal, supportive, and inspiring atmosphere, so anyone who loves walking — whether they’re a fledgling or experienced writer — is welcome! There will be a variety of writing exercises along the way so everyone will be expected to bring a pen/pencil and notepad with them. Writers working in any genre, and at any level, are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there!
